These Terms of Service apply to your use of this website and to purchases made through the Luke Hope online shop.
The website and shop are operated by Luke Hope Design Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14518862, with its registered office at Alders Farm, Ivy Lane, Great Brickhill, Milton Keynes, MK17 9AH, United Kingdom.
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Products
I make sculptural wooden tableware and objects, primarily using natural solid wood.
Every piece is individually made and finished, and natural variations in grain, colour, tone and other characteristics of the timber are to be expected. These variations are part of the material and mean that no two pieces will be exactly identical.
I make every effort to describe and photograph products accurately. Colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on the timber, lighting, photography and the screen on which images are viewed.
Dimensions are provided as accurately as reasonably possible, but small variations may occur as a result of the making and finishing process.
Please read the product information and care instructions provided on the website before purchasing and using a piece.
Materials and finishes
The wood used in Luke Hope Design pieces is responsibly sourced through established timber suppliers and, where required, is accompanied by appropriate documentation relating to species, origin and legal supply.
Tableware is finished using specialist food-contact-safe oil and wax blends supplied with relevant certification for their intended use.

Orders
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase and will receive an email confirming that the order has been received.
I reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where there has been an obvious pricing or product information error, where an item is unexpectedly unavailable, where payment cannot be authorised, or where I am otherwise unable to fulfil the order.
If payment has already been taken for an order that cannot be fulfilled, it will be refunded.
Please check your order details carefully before submitting your order.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the website and are subject to change.
The price charged will be the price shown when you place your order, together with any applicable shipping charges shown at checkout.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, prices do not include customs duties, import taxes or other local charges that may arise when an order reaches its destination.
Payment is processed securely through Shopify and its payment providers. Luke Hope Design Ltd does not directly receive or store your complete card details.
You are responsible for providing accurate and current billing, payment and contact information when placing an order.
Shipping, duties and taxes
Orders may be dispatched either from my studio in London, United Kingdom, or from my studio in Vietnam, operated by Luke Hope Studio Vietnam Co., Ltd. and international shipping is available to most countries.

Delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees. Delays can occasionally occur as a result of customs processing, carrier disruption or other circumstances outside my reasonable control.
Depending on the destination country, import duties, taxes or other local charges may be payable when the order arrives. These charges are set by the relevant customs or tax authorities and are not included in the product or shipping price unless expressly stated otherwise.
The customer is responsible for any such charges.
Returns, cancellations and faulty items
Returns, cancellations, damaged items and refunds are dealt with in accordance with the Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Nothing in these Terms of Service or the Returns Policy limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
Where goods are made specifically to your requirements, personalised or commissioned for you, different cancellation and return rights may apply. Any such conditions will be made clear before the order is agreed.
Product use and care
Wood is a natural material and will respond to moisture, heat, sunlight, use and its surrounding environment over time.
Products should be used and cared for in accordance with the care information supplied on the website or with the piece.
Luke Hope Design Ltd cannot be responsible for damage resulting from misuse, accidental damage, inappropriate storage or cleaning, failure to follow the care instructions, or normal wear and ageing of the material.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including your statutory rights in relation to faulty goods.
Intellectual property
All designs, products, photographs, images, text, graphics, branding and other original material appearing on this website are owned by or licensed to Luke Hope Design Ltd unless otherwise stated.
They may not be copied, reproduced, manufactured, distributed, published, commercially exploited or used without prior written permission.
Purchasing a product does not transfer any intellectual property rights in the design of that product.
Use of the website
You may use this website for lawful personal or business browsing purposes.
You must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation or security, introduce malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorised access, collect or misuse personal information belonging to others, or use automated systems to extract substantial amounts of website content.
You must also not use the website or its content in a way that infringes the rights of Luke Hope Design Ltd or any third party.
I may update, change or remove website content and may occasionally suspend access to parts of the website where reasonably necessary.

Any purchase you make through the shop is made directly from Luke Hope Design Ltd. Shopify is not the seller of the products offered through this website and is not responsible for fulfilling your order or for the products purchased.
Errors and corrections
Occasionally, information on the website may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, availability, shipping charges, delivery information or other details.
I reserve the right to correct such errors, update information or cancel an order where information was materially incorrect.
If an order is cancelled after payment has been taken, the relevant amount will be refunded.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it results from circumstances outside your reasonable control.

If you are purchasing products primarily for business or commercial use, Luke Hope Design Ltd will not be responsible for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or other indirect commercial losses unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Trade, hospitality and commissioned orders
These Terms of Service primarily apply to purchases made through the online shop.
Wholesale, trade, hospitality, commissioned or other bespoke orders may be subject to separate quotations, invoices, specifications or written terms agreed between us.
Where separate terms have been expressly agreed for such an order, those terms will take precedence to the extent that they differ from these Terms of Service.
Severability
If any part of these Terms of Service is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will apply only to the extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

If Luke Hope Design Ltd does not immediately enforce a right under these terms, that does not mean that right has been waived.
